La zona norte de Bucaramanga o «Ciudad Norte» como la bautizaron sus propios habitantes, es un sector marginal que cuenta aproximadamente con cien mil personas. Allí se encuentra ubicada la comuna nororiental conformada por diecisiete barrios Catorce instituciones escolares.
