Las dos jóvenes le cuentan la noticia a Zoraida (42) y Enrique (55), padres de Elena, quienes un poco molestos, parecen acceder. Más tarde, Zoraida ve una escena romántica entre las dos jóvenes y enfrenta a Elena. La obliga a renunciar al viaje sin contarle a Enrique, pero debido a la algarabía, son escuchadas por él, quien al enterarse de la relación golpea a Elena y le ordena separarse de Paulina. Al día siguiente Paulina busca a Elena, y aunque Zoraida se niega a que se vean por órdenes de Enrique, accede a darles cinco minutos para que hablen. Las dos jóvenes charlan de lo sucedido y deciden terminar su relación. Paulina se va del pueblo y Elena es obligada a casarse.

Later, Zoraida sees a romantic scene between the two young women and confronts Elena. She forces her to give up the trip without telling Enrique, but due to the hubbub, they are overheard by him, who upon learning of the relationship hits Elena and orders her to separate from Paulina. The next day Paulina looks for Elena, and although Zoraida refuses to let them see each other on Enrique's orders, she agrees to give them five minutes to talk.
