description La práctica de intervención clínica en psicología y psiquiatría se autoriza porque en la relación clínico-paciente es posible identificar una enfermedad. Esta se toma como un ente que afecta el funcionamiento psíquico, físico y social de los individuos. La tarea del clínico es en gran medida hallar el subgrupo a los que pertenece el agrupamiento coherente de los signos de la enfermedad y determinar cuál es, es decir diagnosticarla. Para aquella tarea tiene como vademécum al Manual de Diagnóstico Estadístico (DSM). El manual contiene las instrucciones y criterios para identificar los trastornos mentales. En la actualidad existe y se usa la quinta versión del Manual teniendo sucesivamente cuatro versiones atrás y dos revisiones. El trabajo tiene una orientación arqueológica y pretende dirigirse a los discursos que atraviesan la noción de trastorno mental haciendo énfasis en la condiciones de emergencia del DSM para elucidar la formación conceptual que rige la práctica clínica en psicología

For that task, it has the Diagnostic Statistical Manual (DSM) as a vade mecum. The manual contains the instructions and criteria to identify mental disorders.
