Introducción: La catastrofización definido como un patrón de respuestas cognitivas y emocionales negativas al dolor real o anticipado que incluye rumia sobre el dolor, aumento del dolor y sentimientos de desesperanza sobre el dolor, se ha demostrado que genera resultados adversos no solo en el pronóstico de la intensidad del dolor, duración, evolución y las respuestas emocionales que genera el individuo, por eso esta tesis de grado se centró en la aplicación de la escala de catastrofización del dolor, aplicada previo y 2 meses posteriores a la realización de una intervención analgésica por clínica de dolor, con el propósito de poder ver el impacto de estos tratamientos en el componente emocional y afectivo y no solo el sensorial. Metodología: Estudio de Cohorte prospectivo, en el cual se realizaron dos cortes transversales. Se incluyeron 130 pacientes, que incluye el 88% de la muestra calculada inicialmente. Se aplicó la escala de Catastrofización del dolor, la cual esta validada al español. Se realizó análisis antes y después de la terapia intervencionista y se analizó el porcentaje de cambio y su significancia estadística. Igualmente se realizó evaluación en cada una de las subescalas de catastrofización. Adicionalmente se evaluó la Escala de McGill en cada uno de sus ítems antes y después del procedimiento. El análisis de datos se realizó utilizando STATA / SE (versión 14, StataCorp, 2013. Stata Statistical Software: Versión 14. College Station, TX: StataCorp LP). Resultados: El intervencionismo en dolor crónico logra a 60 días una reducción de la escala de catastrofización clínica de un 70,48% al pasar del 29,82% a un 8,8%, disminución que fue significativa. Similares y significativos porcentajes de reducción se obtuvieron en cada una de las subescales de catastrofización, siendo la Rumiacion la que presento un mayor porcentaje y la magnificación el menor, 7,59% vs 51,38% respectivamente. Conclusiones: El intervencionismo analgésico en dolor crónico logra impactar positivamente sobre la catastrofización clínica. se requieren estudios de seguimiento a largo plazo para evaluar su verdadero efecto sobre cada una de las subescalas |

Metodología: Estudio de Cohorte prospectivo, en el cual se realizaron dos cortes transversales. Se incluyeron 130 pacientes, que incluye el 88% de la muestra calculada inicialmente. Se aplicó la escala de Catastrofización del dolor, la cual esta validada al español. Se realizó análisis antes y después de la terapia intervencionista y se analizó el porcentaje de cambio y su significancia estadística. Igualmente se realizó evaluación en cada una de las subescalas de catastrofización. Adicionalmente se evaluó la Escala de McGill en cada uno de sus ítems antes y después del procedimiento. El análisis de datos se realizó utilizando STATA / SE (versión 14, StataCorp, 2013. Stata Statistical Software: Versión 14. College Station, TX: StataCorp LP). Resultados: El intervencionismo en dolor crónico logra a 60 días una reducción de la escala de catastrofización clínica de un 70,48% al pasar del 29,82% a un 8,8%, disminución que fue significativa. Similares y significativos porcentajes de reducción se obtuvieron en cada una de las subescales de catastrofización, siendo la Rumiacion la que presento un mayor porcentaje y la magnificación el menor, 7,59% vs 51,38% respectivamente. IMPACTOS ESPERADOS 59EspecializaciónIntroduction: Catastrophizing, defined as a pattern of negative cognitive and emotional responses to real or anticipated pain that includes rumination about pain, increased pain and feelings of hopelessness about pain, has been shown to generate adverse results not only in the prognosis of the intensity of pain, duration, evolution and the emotional responses generated by the individual, that is why this degree thesis focused on the application of the pain catastrophizing scale, applied prior to and 2 months after performing an analgesic intervention for pain clinic, with the purpose of being able to see the impact of these treatments on the emotional and affective component and not only the sensory one. Methodology: Prospective cohort study, in which two cross sections were made. 130 patients were included, which includes 88% of the sample initially calculated. The pain catastrophization scale was applied, which is validated in Spanish. Analysis was performed before and after interventional therapy and the percentage of change and its statistical significance were analyzed. Likewise, an evaluation was carried out in each one of the catastrophizing subscales. Additionally, the McGill Scale was evaluated in each of its items before and after the procedure.
