A total of 60 patients were included who, at the discretion of their treating algologist, were scheduled for the procedure; pregnant women and patients unable to report pain assessment using the scales proposed were excluded. A 6-month follow-up was performed, with follow-up on day 1, day 7, day 30, day 60, day 90 and day 180 after the procedure. The pain delta was evaluated using the numerical pain scale (NRS), as well as the change in the neuropathic pain score using the DN4 questionnaire. Additionally, the presence of postprocedural complications at 180 days was assessed. The delta of pain by NRS and the change in mean DN4 score were statistically significant at each follow-up time point. No major complications remained after day 7 follow-up. In conclusion, combined low-temperature radiofrequency of Gasser's ganglion was considered to be an effective and safe procedure as a treatment for trigeminal neuralgia.Modalidad Presencialapplication/pdfspahttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/2.5/co/Abierto (Texto Completo)Atribución-NoComercial-SinDerivadas 2.5 Colombiahttp://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2Efectividad analgésica y seguridad de la radiofrecuencia combinada a baja temperatura del ganglio de gasser como tratamiento para neuralgia del trigéminoAnalgesic effectiveness and safety of combined low-temperature radiofrequency of the gasser ganglion as a treatment for trigeminal neuralgiaEspecialista en AnestesiologíaUniversidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga UNABFacultad Ciencias de la SaludEspecialización en Anestesiologíainfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisTesishttp://purl.org/redcol/resource_type/TMhttp://purl.org/coar/version/c_b1a7d7d4d402bcceAnesthesiologyMedical sciencesHealth sciencesMedicineTrigeminal neuralgiaCombined radiofrequencyFacial painInterventional painNeuropathic painPain medicinePain (Treatment)Clinical pharmacologyAnestesiologíaCiencias médicasMedicinaNeuralgiaMedicina del dolorDolor (Tratamiento)AnalgesiaFarmacología clínicaCiencias de la saludDolor facialNeuralgia del trigéminoDolor neuropáticoRadiofrecuencia combinadaIntervencionismo analgésicoBendtsen L, Zakrzewska J, Bruvik Heinskou T, Hodaie M, Roberto Lacerda Leal P, Nurmikko T, et al.
