description |

The sample consisted of 36 undergraduate students in physical culture, sports and recreation from the Santo Tomas University, Bucaramanga section. It began by measuring the hippocampal and striatal memory capacity of each subject. using a visual search task, which consisted of locating a camouflaged stimulus between various distractors. The results obtained corresponded to learning time (dependent on the hippocampus) and reaction time (dependent on the striatum). The physical activity of each subject was then progressively increased over four weeks. The intensity of physical activity was calculated based on the maximum heart rate of each subject. After the intervention, the visual search task was performed again, obtaining the new learning and reaction times. When comparing the two measurements, there was a decrease in the mean learning time and an increase in the mean reaction time, thus demonstrating the existence of an interdependence between the variables studied. Based on the results obtained, it becomes pertinent to pay special attention to the influence that the physical state of a student has on their learning capacity and, to review if Colombian higher education institutions consider interdependence within their academic excellence strategies. that have these variables.application/pdfspahttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/2.5/co/Abierto (Texto Completo)Atribución-NoComercial-SinDerivadas 2.5 Colombiahttp://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2Incremento de la actividad física y su efecto en la capacidad de aprendizaje dependiente del hipocampoIncreased physical activity and its effect on learning ability hippocampal dependentMagíster en EducaciónUniversidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga UNABFacultad Ciencias Sociales, Humanidades y ArtesMaestría en Educacióninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisTesishttp://purl.org/redcol/resource_type/TMEducationQuality in educationPhysical activityLearningHippocampusVisual search tasksCebrebral cortexMuscular strengthPhysical aptitudesSportEducaciónCalidad de la educaciónCorteza cebrebralFuerza muscularAptitudes físicasDeporteActividad físicaAprendizajeHipocampoTareas de búsquedaAbut, F., Akay, M.
