description Este estudio presenta al sistema de Mampostería Estructural como otra gran alternativa de los sistemas industrializados en Colombia, El desarrollo de Vivienda masiva (Conjuntos multi familiares) se ha convertido en un factor a tener en cuenta en la población Colombiana, sobre todo en las ciudades capitales; los otros sistemas estructurales analizados en este estudio difieren considerablemente del primer sistema mencionado, ya que los resultados obtenidos verificando su variación en los costos. La investigación inicia por el origen de la Mampostería Estructural, su funcionamiento, características y tipos, e incluye los avances de los sistemas industrializados, sin olvidar la explicación sobre el sistema túnel. Por último se hace un análisis comparativo de los tres sistemas sin variar el área y modificando solamente el diseño estructural, el resultado de este análisis presenta la ventaja económica del Sistema de Mampostería. Estructural ante los otros sistemas estructurales constructivos, teniendo en cuenta la variable tiempo.
