Según Juan Fernando Rodríguez, subdirector del Instituto de Vivienda de Interés Social y Reforma Urbana de Bucaramanga (Invisbú), ésta es una de las capitales del país que tiene menos posibilidad de habitar áreas para expandirse: “La ciudad hoy está sintiendo la presión por habilitar espacios viables para * su crecimiento natural y necesita también controlar los asentamientos subnormales que tienden a ocupar áreas no aptas o con limitaciones”. En contraposición, existe una gran demanda de vivienda: vale mencionar que únicamente la población desplazada que ha llegado al área metropolitana en los últimos años suma unas 4.500 familias. |
