This research aims to understand the meaning and experience of volunteering among young adults in the city of Bucaramanga and its metropolitan area through a qualitative approach and under a phenomenological design. Information was collected through semi-structured interviews with a group of volunteers. The results highlighted that young adults conceive volunteering as a valuable opportunity to contribute to social and personal development and well-being. It is through their participation that they experience remarkable growth both personally and socially and strengthen their sense of social belonging. While recognizing the various challenges inherent in volunteering, its transformative power as a key element in social change is highlighted. The research contributes to broaden the understanding of volunteering as a bi-directional phenomenon, where the benefit generated is mutual between the volunteer and the community, generating a positive impact on the fabric of society.Modalidad Presencialapplication/pdfspahttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/2.5/co/Abierto (Texto Completo)Atribución-NoComercial-SinDerivadas 2.5 Colombiahttp://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2Significado y experiencia del voluntariado en adultos jóvenes en la ciudad de Bucaramanga y el Área MetropolitanaMeaning and experience of volunteering in young adults in the city of Bucaramanga and its metropolitan areaPsicólogoUniversidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga UNABFacultad Ciencias de la SaludPregrado PsicologíaPSI-265info:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesisTrabajo de Gradohttp://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_7a1finfo:eu-repo/semantics/acceptedVersionhttp://purl.org/redcol/resource_type/TPPsychologyVolunteeringVolunteerMeaningExperienceYoung adultsAltruismHelping behaviorHuman behaviorHuman relationsWork campsVolunteers in social workPsicologíaAltruismoConducta de ayudaConducta humanaRelaciones humanasCampos de trabajo (Trabajo social)Voluntarios en trabajo socialVoluntariadoVoluntarioSignificadoExperienciaAdultos jovenesAguilera Pinzón, M.
