La comunidad de la vereda El Volador, presenta dificultades de traslado en el municipio de Piedecuesta, Santander, debido a que esta vía terciaria no se encuentra en óptimas condiciones de movilidad, la mayoría de sus suelos son finos de plasticidad media y baja. Por lo tanto, se propuso encontrar el porcentaje óptimo de cal para estabilizar la subrasante del tramo 3 el cual es la más afectada; esto considerando las Especificaciones Generales de Construcción de Carreteras y Normas de ensayos para Materiales Viales del Instituto Nacional de Vías. Se utilizó como estabilizador de la subrasante la cal ya que su aplicación ha tenido éxito en los últimos años a nivel mundial, su uso cuenta con una serie de mejoras en algunas propiedades de la mezcla como: disminución de la plasticidad, aumento de la resistencia mecánica, menor sensibilidad a la humedad, entre otras. Además, se generan recomendaciones de construcción del pavimento con placa-huella por la cual se movilizará la comunidad y así proporcionar una solución al problema que se presenta sobre todo en época de invierno. |

Therefore, it was proposed to find the optimal percentage of lime to stabilize the subgrade of section 3 which is the most affected; this considering the General Specifications for Highway Construction and Testing Standards for Road Materials of the National Institute of Roads. Lime was used as a stabilizer of the subgrade since its application has been successful in recent years worldwide, its use has a series of improvements in some properties of the mixture such as: decrease in plasticity, increase in mechanical resistance, lower sensitivity to moisture, among others.
