La variedad de la criminalidad fue muy amplia en ella, pero en este artículo sólo se examinan los crímenes calificados como graves, según una clasificación que se propone. Los ejemplos escogidos para ilustrar intentan demostrar que esta guerra, y el consiguiente colapso económico y político, marcan una etapa crucial en el desarrollo de los modelos de la violencia colombiana. SUMMARY In spite of the fact that the War of the Thousand Days was ended with the Treaty of Winsconsin, the state of unrest and violence among the people of Santander continued during all the first decade of this century. Criminality in this period was varied, however in this article only crimes considered serious will be examined according to a proposed classification.
