Para la evaluación del desempeño de los recubrimientos orgánicos de imprimante epóxico, con acabados/ poliuretano, polisiloxano, poliaspártico y uretano A.R aplicados sobre un acero de medio carbono, se sometieron a un ambiente simulado salino, cámara de lluvia ácida y U.V, para determinar por inspección visual en sistemas fisurados el ampollamiento y el avance del proceso de la corrosión y en sistemas no fisurados la variación en cuanto a brillo y color. Conjuntamente se realizó la instalación de un Rack en campo la Cira, donde se expusieron los sistemas de recubrimiento sin daño junto con sistemas desnudas a las condiciones naturales. Se aplicó la técnica de espectroscopía de impedancia electroquimica a los sistemas ya expuestas en cámara salina y ácida, las cuales demostraron un comportamiento puramente capacitivo propio de recubrimientos que protegen bajo la acción de barrera. Por ultimo se realizó el ensayo de desprendimiento catódico a los sistemas de estudio sin exposición, indicando la habilidad del imprimante epóxico 82% en sólidos para resistir la delaminación alrededor de las fisuras. De los cuatro sistemas evaluados, el recubrimiento compuesto por un imprimante epóxico 82% en solidos y un acabado de poliuretano A.R demostró alta resistencia al paso de agentes contaminantes, menor absorción de electrolito, mayor retención de brillo, blancura, menor índice de amarillamiento y menor densidad de ampollamiento y corrosión, por lo tanto este sistema tiene la capacidad de soportar ambientes salinos, ácidos y radiación ultravioleta constante sin varias su resistencia ni características ópticas de la superficie |
