Internet, salud pública 2.0 y complejidad

Resumen: Al día de hoy, Internet ha modificado el mundo y desde su incursión comercial a principios de la década de los noventa del siglo XX, el mundo no volvió a ser el mismo. El impacto de Internet ha sido monumental e históricamente pocos inventos en la historia de la humanidad han modificado de tal forma la vida del ser humano. Sin embargo, Internet es mucho más que unos computadores conectados y unas páginas web a las cuales acceder. Adicionalmente, algunas reglas de la naturaleza para células y especies también rigen para Internet. La World Wide Web y fenómenos que habitan en ella como la salud pública 2.0 son más que una red de sitios web conectados por hiperenlaces. La Web 2.0 pertenece a una de esas inteligencias colectivas donde así como en los enjambres, el concepto de autoorganización es fundamental. Its impact has been monumental and historically few inventions in the humanity history have changed so much the lives of the human beings. However, the internet is much more than a few connected computers and some web sites to access. Additionally, some rules of nature for cells and species also apply to Internet. The World Wide Web and phenomena that inhabit on it as a public health 2.0, are more than a network of websites connected by hyperlinks. The web 2.0 belongs to one of those collective intelligence where like in swarms, the concept of self-organizations is essential. The new scientific revolution brings different concepts to try to understand the dynamics of the World Wide Web and thereby to comprehend from another perspective the complex phenomena as public health.Key words: Internet, public health, societies, technology, social networking (source: MeSH)
