Optimización De Producción
Ecopetrol as the largest operator of mature fields in the country
is conducting the implementation of technology to increase production and hydrocarbon reserves in existing fields as the main strategy to get more reserves. Among the options for optimization of production and recovery of these reserves is located Radial Drilling technology. This technology applies for those wells that have lost oil production by the acceleration in the production of gas or water; and therefore acceleration in the decline of production
leaving substantial volumes of oil can still be recovered at the site. The objective of this work is a technical and economic comparison between conventional perforating and the Radial Drilling technology
based on the fact that greater contacted drainage area provides increased well productivity. For this
the well productivity index was compared
first with PowerSpiral perforating 21/8 "@ 6 TPP
phase 45 ° and after performing Radial Drilling in the area perforating as the costs of each operation. The difference of the relevant parameters of each of the works such as the productivity index
the flow area
increasing drainage area contacted
change in permeability and production gain also is determined
this analysis led to the conclusion the Radial Drilling provides greater productivity index which represents an increase in production is the target of the operation
the cost benefit is offset by the incremental production.
