LA UNIVERSIDAD UNA INSTITUCION QUE APRENDE

RESUMEN La universidad una institución dinámica, que nació para responder a las necesidades de la sociedad, hoy se ha transformado y ha perdurado vigente a través del tiempo, en una sociedad donde el saber es el principal medio de producción, se enfrenta a una serie de retos, y se apoya en gran medida en uno de sus pilares fundamentales: los Docentes, cuyo noble y gratificante compromiso es construir universidad, preservándola como una institución seria y responsable, a la que todos los estamentos de la sociedad recurren con confianza y seguridad por ser una institución de servicio, regida por principios de honestidad y altruismo; una institución del saber superior y de calidad que aprende constantemente, comprometida con la formación integral de los estudiantes, preocupada por los problemas de la región y del país al que pertenece, comprometida con la cultura académica y con el incremento de la conciencia de la sociedad sobre lo que ésta es y debe ser y hacer. Palabras Clave: Universidad, sociedad, docencia, investigación, extensión universitaria, formación integral, cultura académica.ABSTRACT The University, a dynamic institution, which was created to meet the needs of society, has become current and has persisted through time. Today in a society where knowledge is the main means of production are facing a number of challenges, and relies heavily on one of its cornerstones: the teachers, whose noble and rewarding university committed to building preserved as an institution serious and responsible, to which all sectors of society rely with confidence by being a service institution, governed by principles of honesty and altruism; an institution of superior learning and quality is constantly learning, committed to the integral formation of students, concerned about the problems of the region and country to which it belongs, committed to the academic culture and the increasing awareness of society about what it is and should be and do. Key Words: University, society, teaching, investigation, university services, holistic education, academic culture.
