In the last decades the design hydro-sanitary has been consolidated as an area of great importance and incipient growth by discharge demands inside the civil engineering. This way
a wide skill has been needed in optimization of the procedures and designs by the purpose to provide major efficiency in the results and final designs
this has been facilitated thanks to the joint of computational key tools in the organization
modeling and calculation of structures and networks; in this case hydro-sanitary
such it is the case of software as CYPECAD 2015 used in the construction of buildings and the design of hydro-sanitary networks. The hydro-sanitary design has gone from being an area of little importance to one of the disciplines in engineering which has begun to have more detail and has been paid more attention. In particular the area of plumbing engineering is governed Colombia from the "NTC 1500" (Colombian Technical Standard - Colombian Plumbing Code)
supplementary books as "Design of plumbing and gas innovation in optimizing plumbing designs and procedures
as is the case with software CYPECAD CYPECAD MEP (Electrical- Mechanical- Plumbing) extension whereby the calculation
dimensioning and testing of building installation is carried out in areas as fire
plumbing (hot water and cold water)
sanitation (rainwater and wastewater). On the other hand the application and managing of the above mentioned instruments must be under control of integral professionals who have a solid theoretical knowledge and an agile performance in field
there it is where the managerial practices acquire importance
giving to the student good aptitudes to complement the knowledge and the field experiences forging a more complete profile and that provides better quality in the professional performance

Así, se ha requerido una amplia destreza en optimización de los procedimientos y diseños con el fin proporcionar mayor eficiencia en los resultados y diseños finales, esto se ha facilitado gracias a la articulación de herramientas computacionales clave en la organización, modelamiento y cálculo de estructuras y redes; en este caso hidrosanitarias, tal es el caso de software como CYPECAD 2015, utilizado en la construcción de edificaciones y el diseño de redes hidrosanitarias. El diseño hidrosanitario ha pasado de ser un área de poca importancia a una de las disciplinas en ingeniería en la cual se ha comenzado a tener mayor detalle y se le ha prestado mayor atención. En particular el área de ingeniería hidrosanitaria en Colombia se rige a partir de la TECNICA COLOMBIANA Código colombiano de fontanería), libros complementarios como ón de los diseños y procedimientos hidrosanitarios, tal es el caso del software CYPECAD con la extensión CYPECAD MEP (Mechanical- Electrical- Plumbing) mediante el cual se realiza el cálculo, dimensionamiento y comprobación de instalaciones de edificios en aspectos como: incendio, fontanería (agua caliente y agua fría), saneamiento (aguas pluviales y aguas negras).
