DE LA CARACTERIZACIÓN DE CRUDOS QUÉ ES CLAVE PARA DIAGNOSTICAR LA PRECIPITACIÓN DE PARAFINAS

RESUMENLos crudos parafínicos son muy valiosos, por los derivados que se pueden obtener; sin embargo la dificultad radica en producirlos y transportarlos. Si las características del crudo determinan que es parafínico, la precipitación y depositación de parafinas puede ocurrir a partir de un punto entre el yacimiento y las facilidades de superficie o durante su transporte por oleoductos, causando posible daño a la formación si se deposita dentro del yacimiento, problemas operacionales e incrementos en costos y en casos severos hasta la pérdida del pozo.Es recomendable hacer un diagnóstico temprano a fin de poder implementar sistemas preventivos y evitar que el problema se incremente con las consecuencias mencionadas.En este documento se presenta un análisis del problema, la importancia y pautas de la caracterización y finalmente se da a conocer el caso del Campo Colorado, en donde a pesar de ser un campo maduro, se están dando avances en investigación cuyos resultados puedan contribuir a mitigar problemas de precipitación de orgánicos en otros campos.Palabras Claves: Caracterización de crudos, ceras parafínicas, diagnóstico de parafinas, Campo Colorado.ABSTRACTParaffinic crude oils are very valuable, because of the products that can be obtained from them, but the challenge is to produce them and transport them. If the characteristics show that an oil is paraffinic, the paraffin precipitation and deposition can occur from a point between the reservoir and surface facilities or during transport by pipeline, causing possible damage to the formation if it is deposited in the reservoir , operational problems and increases in costs and in severe cases even loss of the well.It is advisable to make an early diagnosis in order to implement preventive systems and not wait that for the problem increases with the consequences mentioned.This paper presents an analysis of the problem, patterns of characterization and finally we explain the case of Colorado field, where despite of being a mature field, are making advances in research whose results can help mitigate problems of precipitation of organics in other oil fields.Keywords: Characterization of crude oil, wax, paraffin diagnosis, Colorado field.
