Since then Nanotechnology has been taking shape to become one of the key themes for the current development

due to their special characteristics has had a great impact in almost all industries
from electronics
health care and telecommunications. For this reason
Nanotechnology is then perceived as an essential tool that allows to solve the innumerable technical problems to which the Oil and Gas industry faces every day with the aim to fulfill the growing global demand of energy. This project presents a research about the main applications of Nanotechnology in Oil and Gas industry worldwide and in Colombia
using a systematic review methodology to establish a theoretical framework that reflects the current state of the literature and contribute to its conceptualization and understanding
and
illustrates the potential positive impacts on the industry
caused by his development and implementation. The research developed allowed the analysis of Nanotechnology
his history and background
the definition of the basic concepts and the identification of his application in specific areas of the Oil and Gas industry and the contextualization of his development in Colombia

Desde entonces la Nanotecnología ha ido cobrando forma, hasta constituirse en una de las temáticas claves para el desarrollo actual, que, debido a sus especiales características ha tenido un gran impacto en casi todas las industrias, desde la electrónica, al cuidado de la salud y las telecomunicaciones. Por esto, la Nanotecnología se percibe entonces como una herramienta imprescindible que permite solucionar los innumerables problemas técnicos a los que la industria del Petróleo y Gas se enfrenta cada día con miras de cumplir con la creciente demanda global de energía. Este proyecto presenta una investigación realizada sobre la Nanotecnología y sus aplicaciones en la industria del Petróleo y Gas a nivel mundial y en Colombia, en la cual se desarrolló una revisión sistemática con el fin de establecer un marco teórico de referencia que plasme el estado actual de la literatura de la temática y contribuya a su conceptualización y comprensión, e, ilustre los potenciales impactos positivos en la industria, debido a su desarrollo e implementación. La investigación desarrollada permitió el análisis de la temática de Nanotecnología, su historia y antecedentes, la definición y comprensión de sus conceptos básicos, la identificación y clasificación de sus aplicaciones en áreas específicas de la industria del Petróleo y Gas, y la contextualización de su desarrollo en Colombia, a través del análisis de contenido realizado a artículos científicos, tesis de grado, publicaciones seriadas, patentes y material editorial seleccionados.
