Breathe Health Center (Neumológico)

The respiratory medicine dotacional equipment and breathing will be located in Suba, its main purpose is to serve vulnerable communities in low income who are most affected by respiratory diseases, which the causes environmental pollution, pollution from cars and PM10, these particles less than or equal to 10 Microns in diameter, whose size are able to enter the respiratory system of the human being, the less is the largest diameter is the potential health damage. In Bogotá reflected that children and the elderly are most affected in terms of respiratory diseases in the censuses conducted in 2005 is that the Suba is the second most populous city having 1,069. 114 inhabitants, 7.1% of the population aged 65 years and 2.2% are children who are affected by respiratory diseases; one of the closest towns is Usaquén which is affected by pollution from vehicles in the North Freeway. The city health plan aims to generate centralities and reduce travel costs, being a big plan shall supply needs of the center and south of the city, leaving the northern sector without coverage, therefore the dotacional equipment Neumológico and respiratory have its location in Suba, covering part of the north as to respiratory and avoiding travel to the city center diseases.
