Description
Summary:RESUMEN: Baldomero Sanín Cano was one of Colombia's most prominent thinkers of the twentieth century. This essay seeks to outline the critical intellectual profile setting its sight on the newspapers, diplomatics and international politics analysis. The main objective is to expose these facets and stimulate a rereading of Colombian thinker who was a correspondent and editor of the newspaper La Nación of Buenos Aires (1918-1931), diplomat in London (1911-1914) and Buenos Aires (1933-1935), and even national and international political analyst with a history of more than four decades. It also explores some of the analytical scenarios in which the critic contributed: those referring to the sociological analysis of modernity and the critique of mass in the twentieth century. The essay highlights some of the major historical and political contexts in which lies the creative output of Sanín Cano.
