Summary:ABSTRACT: This action research report accounts for the result of exploring how the use of Project Work can improve English Language Competence in a group of 11th grade at a public school in Medellin-Colombia. This research project was carried out during the second and first half of 2017 and 2018 respectively and the results display the positive effects on students’ performance and attitudes towards project work in class. Data provided was gathered through observations, journals, interview and a survey. The findings and conclusions evince the positive aspects of implementing this approach and the difficulties found along the process.
