RESUMEN: Este artículo pretende mostrar las principales estructuras y usos semántico-pragmáticos en que aparecen los intensificadores fraseológicos en el español coloquial hablado en la ciudad de Medellín y su área metropolitana. Para la descripción de las unidades fraseológicas relativas, hemos adoptado la propuesta de García-Page (2008), quien las divide en estructuras de sintagma nominal cuantitativo, sintagmas preposicionales, comparativas estereotipadas, consecutivas enfáticas y expresiones de negación enfática. En relación con la función semántico-pragmática de los intensificadores que modifican la cualidad y la cantidad dentro del enunciado, partimos de la caracterización de Briz (1998), que además distingue la intensificación pragmática de la enunciación. Los ejemplos que ilustran el artículo fueron tomados del corpus documental del Diccionario descriptivo del español del Valle de Aburrá (DEVA). Finalmente, en las conclusiones se destacan algunos aspectos analizados de estas estructuras elativas que puedan llevar, en el futuro, a otras indagaciones de carácter pragmático dentro del español regional. |

In order to describe the ilative phraseological units, we have decided to work with García-Page‟s proposal (2008), who divides them into quantitative nominal syntagms, prepositional syntagms, stereotyped comparative structures, emphatic consecutive structures and emphatic negation expressions. Regarding to the semantic-pragmatic function of intensifiers that modify both the quality and the quantity within the statement, we started with Briz‟s characterization (1998), which also distinguishes pragmatic intensification from enunciation. The examples that illustrate the article were taken from the documental corpus of the “Diccionario descriptivo del español del Valle de Aburrá (DEVA)”.
