description RESUMEN: La intervención profesional dirigida a los integrantes de 10 Juntas de Acción Comunal de las veredas del municipio de Betania permitió concluir que fundamentar a nivel metodológico el quehacer profesional desde lo socio educativo y la pedagogía social permitió desarrollar espacios dialógicos y reflexivos donde se identificaron problemas y capacidades de las juntas de acción comunal y se socializaron los mecanismos de participación y control ciudadano, además, de forma alterna se logró reanimar las motivaciones de los sujetos y reconocer la necesidad de los mecanismos de la participación y gestión comunitaria para la construcción cotidiana de una democracia.
