We worked with 4 supplements: in the first, the main material for energy supply premium, was the corn grain (Zea mays) (MZ), other supplements were obtained by the replacement of 50% of TDN provided by the grain corn for other commodities such as Sorghum grain (Sorghum vulgare ) (SG), cassava root (Manihot esculenta) (YC) and dried orange citrus pulp (Citrus sinensis) (PCD). The treatments were 60:40 mixtures of forages (F) (Cenchrus clandestinum 37 days of regrowth) with supplements, leaving 4 treatments FMZ, FSG, FYC and FPCD. The variables evaluated were degradation of dry matter (DMS), production of methane (CH4 ), energy losses CH4 and fermentation profile, using in vitro gas production technique (TIVPG). Incubation times were evaluated to 6, 12 and 24 hours. The variables were analyzed via a repeated measures design in time. The comparison of means was performed with a significance level of 5%, by t test. DMS greater was observed at 24 hours for treatment FMZ (65.5%) and less for FPCD (60.6%), digestibility values for FSG and FY were intermediate (62.7 y 62.6%). The production of acetic and butyric acid did not change in any schedule or treatment. Diets tested, the best results for the analyzed variables DMS, production of CH4 (33.3 ml/gMS degradated), and propionic acid (34 mmol/L), were showed by the corn, still the best source to decrease the production of CH4 ,, followed by cassava who presented statistical equality in propionate production in 24 hours (44.3 mmol/L).

Se trabajó con 4 suplementos: en el primero, la materia prima principal para el aporte de energía, fue el grano de maíz (Zea mays) (MZ), los demás suplementos se obtuvieron por la sustitución del 50% de TDN aportado por el grano de maíz por otras materias primas como Sorgo grano (Sorghum vulgare) (SG), yuca raíz (Manihot esculenta) (YC) y pulpa cítrica de naranja deshidratada (Citrus sinensis) (PCD). Los tratamientos fueron mezclas en una proporción 60:40 de forraje (F) (Cenchrus clandestinum de 37 días de rebrote) con los suplementos, quedando 4 tratamientos FMZ, FSG, FYC y FPCD. Las variables evaluadas fueron degradación de materia seca (DMS), producción de metano (CH4), pérdidas energéticas por CH4y perfil de fermentación, a través de la técnica in vitro de producción de gases (TIVPG). Los horarios de incubación evaluados fueron 6, 12 y 24 horas. Las variables fueron analizadas a través de un diseño de medidas repetidas en el tiempo. La comparación de medias se realizó con un nivel de significancia del 5%, mediante la prueba t. Se observó mayor DMS a las 24 horas para el tratamiento FMZ (65.5%) y menor para FPCD (60.6%), los valores de digestibilidad para FSG y FY fueron intermedios (62.7 y 62.6%). La producción de ácido acético y butírico no varió en ningún horario ni tratamiento.
