RESUMEN: Este estudio de caso único consiste en caracterizar un paciente que presenta signos de síntomas somáticos de ansiedad por trastorno de estrés post traumático, además de explorar los mecanismos de afrontamiento usados por el mismo a la hora de enfrentarse a estos síntomas; e identificar los mecanismos de afrontamiento que han resultado de mayor utilidad para el paciente seleccionado. Ya que tenemos la postura de que es necesaria esta investigación debido a que existe una gran prevalencia del TEPT en la adultez, y comprendemos que cuando no hay un adecuado tratamiento puede haber ciertas consecuencias que causarían dificultades en varios ámbitos de la vida del paciente que presenta estos síntomas; además de que encontramos pertinente conocer más a profundidad las implicaciones que esto puede acarrear, para así poder tratar este trastorno de una manera adecuada. Para la evaluación del paciente se realizó la aplicación de los inventarios cri-a inventario de respuestas de afrontamiento en adultos, y inventario de ansiedad de beck. |
