Se ocupa de las interacciones entre los documentos, los archivos, los contextos de producción y los usuarios mediante el uso de técnicas, principios y métodos propios de la gestión documental, con el fin de garantizar tanto los derechos como la gobernanza y la transparencia; así como la identidad y la memoria de la sociedad.
