Summary:ABSTRACT: Scientist and health professionals have been facing a challenging health issue related to no transmissible chronic diseases like metabolic syndrome and its association with other pathologies and what they can do to help people be healthy a long of the life. Metabolic syndrome is characterized by several metabolic abnormalities associated with insulin resistance, this syndrome requires a special treatment that need to be adapted to patient conditions. The treatment for patients should be focus on healthy eating behavior, physical activity and in some cases pharmacoterapy. There is not a unique diet for the treatment. It needs to be individualized in order to meet all patient’s requirements. Moreover It is necessary to identified specific metabolic problems in patients presenting this syndrome in order to give precise dietary recommendations. Patient can achieve the treatment goals if they clearly recognize what problems are related with their behaviors that they need to change through strategies that could improve their lives.
