Inicialmente, se determinará el objetivo de la seguridad social y su funcionamiento en Colombia; en qué consiste la economía colaborativa y que papel tienen las plataformas digitales; cuáles son las categorías de una relación laboral y; finalmente, se analiza cuáles de esas categorías se ajustan a la relación jurídica entre Uber B.V. y el conductor. La metodología usada fue el análisis documental. La investigación arrojó como resultado que el tipo de relación jurídica entre estos actores frente al servicio de transporte no pertenece al ámbito del derecho laboral, pues solo se ajustan las categorías de la prestación personal del servicio y la subordinación en su aspecto del modo.

Initially, the objective ofsocial security and its operation in Colombia will be determined; what is the collaborative economy and what role do digital platforms have; what are the categories of an employment relationship and; Finally, we analyze which of those categories fit the legal relationship between Uber B.V. and the driver.
