Summary:ABSTRACT: There are historical antecedents of the use of the technique of the social survey, using representative demographic samples and using called methods actually “mining of data” to especially consider the state of the public opinion in the united states and European electoral fights. Those in favor and detractors have shown solid arguments (Bordieu and Lazarsfeld) to question or to favor this technique of social research. The document introduces schematically to the reader in the methodology of the technique of the social survey.
