Description
Summary:ABSTRACT: We present ther results obtained from our systematic search of a simple Lie group G that unifies weak and electromagnetic interactions in a single truly unified theory. We work with fractionally charged quarks and allow for particles and antiparticles to belong to the same irreducible representation. We find that models based on SU(N),N =6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 are the only viable candidates for simple unification.
