Summary:ABSTRACT: As a consequence of veterinary practice, there is a chance of antibiotic contamination on food animal products (like therapeutic agents, disease preventive additives a growth promotors) ; furthermore, there are pharmaceuticals in use, that do not have complete information in regarding to their residues, innocuousness or without sufficient evaluation, because of the lack of proper toxicological research evaluation. For the reason above mentioned, it is important that the health personnel that is involved with food animal products detect veterinary pharmaceutical residues, be aware and trained to according to the mixed committee of FAO/OMS of food and additive experts.
