RESUMEN: El Síndrome de Burnout (SB) es producto de aquel estrés crónico derivado del ámbito laboral; se refiere al nivel más preponderante en cuanto a estrés laboral; las Funciones Ejecutivas (FE) son aquellas habilidades cognitivas que dirigen a la realización de tareas y demandas del medio y efectuarlas con éxito. El personal de salud hace parte del conjunto de grupos laborales que más se ve expuesto a las diversas exigencias a nivel personal, social y contextual debido a la inherencia de su quehacer profesional. Por ello, este trabajo investigativo se centró en evaluar la posible relación entre la presencia del SB y su incidencia en la disfuncionalidad de las FE utilizando como población y muestra el personal de salud de la E.S.E Hospital San Rafael de Andes; para esto, se realizó un estudio descriptivo correlacional no experimental. Se evaluaron 14 médicos y 22 enfermeros mediante muestreo no probabilístico y se aplicaron los tests de Stroop, Trail Making Test TMT y el cuestionario Maslach Burnout Inventory, además de un cuestionario de datos sociodemográficos. Se usó la prueba no paramétrica de Shapiro-Wilk y el coeficiente de correlación de Spearman y sus grados de significancia para identificar posibles correlaciones. No se encontraron diferencias significativas entre las variables evaluadas por medio de las pruebas. |

Executive Functions (EF) are cognitive skills that direct the execution of tasks and demands from the environment and carry them out successfully. Healthcare personnel are part of the groups most exposed to various personal, social, and contextual demands due to the inherent nature of their professional work. Therefore, this research focused on assessing the potential relationship between the presence of BS and its impact on the dysfunction of EF, using the healthcare staff of the E.S.E Hospital San Rafael de Andes as the population and sample. For this purpose, a non-experimental correlational descriptive study was conducted. Fourteen doctors and twenty-two nurses were evaluated through non-probabilistic sampling. The Stroop test, Trail Making Test (TMT), and the Maslach Burnout Inventory questionnaire were administered, along with a sociodemographic data questionnaire. The non-parametric Shapiro-Wilk test and Spearman's correlation coefficient, along with their significance levels, were used to identify possible correlations.
