RESUMEN: A partir del siglo XXI se han generado importantes debates académicos en torno a la relación entre Trabajo Social e Interculturalidad. Es pertinente preguntarse ¿cuáles son las contribuciones epistemológicas, teóricas y metodológicas que la interculturalidad hace al pensamiento crítico en la intervención social? El objetivo de este artículo es reflexionar sobre las trayectorias de lo intercultural en la intervención social del Trabajo Social, centrándose en las mutaciones que lo social va teniendo en la sociedad moderna monocultural, multicultural y proyectivamente intercultural. Aportan en este sentido el rastreo de artículos de Trabajadores Sociales en Latinoamérica y el Caribe, la experiencia de investigaciones realizadas y la revisión de textos de Trabajo Social y pensadores críticos que abordan los temas claves de este artículo. Como resultado, lo que se argumenta es que en la Intervención Social del Trabajo Social cada vez más la interculturalidad toma un lugar importante en la cuestión disciplinar y en la práctica profesional, presentándose de manera naturalizada, ampliada e intencionada. Desde un posicionamiento crítico, la interculturalidad aporta a la intervención social en sus aspectos filosóficos, políticos, metodológicos y éticos. |

El objetivo de este artículo es reflexionar sobre las trayectorias de lo intercultural en la intervención social del Trabajo Social, centrándose en las mutaciones que lo social va teniendo en la sociedad moderna monocultural, multicultural y proyectivamente intercultural. Desde un posicionamiento crítico, la interculturalidad aporta a la intervención social en sus aspectos filosóficos, políticos, metodológicos y éticos.ABSTRACT: Since the 21st century, important academic debates have arisen around the relationship between Social Work and Interculturality. It is pertinent to ask: what are the epistemological, theoretical, and methodological contributions that interculturality makes to critical thought in social intervention? The objective is to reflect on the trajectories of the intercultural in social intervention of Social Work, focusing on the mutations that the social has had in the modern, monocultural, multicultural and projectively intercultural society. In this sense, there is a contribution by the tracing of articles by Social Workers in Latin America and the Caribbean, the research experience that has been carried out and the review of texts by Social Work and critical thinkers that address the key issues addressed in this article. As a result, the argument is that, in the Social Intervention of Social Work interculturality has increasingly taken an important place in matters of the discipline and the professional practice, presenting itself in a naturalized, expanded, and intentional manner.
