El presente texto aborda el origen y desarrollo de este género artístico en Colombia, examinando sus antecedentes y sus momentos de apogeo, y las obras más destacadas de las últimas dos décadas. |

They refer to a present day sculpture mode, born in the 1960´s within the context of Pop Art. In an Installation, the artist takes an architectural space and transforms it with aesthetical and communicative intentions. Installations are ephemeral pieces, they foster the integration of different artistic ways and media processes and they are intended to be walked through, crossed and interfered by the spectators.
