Reportamos el caso de un paciente con fibrilación auricular no valvular con puntaje alto de riesgo para ECV, pero con antecedente de sangrado intraparenquimatoso cerebral y muy alto riesgo de sangrado con la anticoagulación a largo plazo; se hizo con éxito y sin complicaciones el cierre percutáneo de la auriculilla izquierda con el dispositivo Watchman. |

Anticoagulation remains a fundamental part of treatment for the prevention of cerebrovascular events (stroke), but it is contraindicated in approximately 20% of patients. We report a case of non-valvular atrial fibrillation with high-risk score for stroke, a history of intracerebral bleeding, and very high risk of bleeding with long-term anticoagulation.
