RESUMEN: El interés despertado desde diversos sectores académicos por profundizar en la investigación en el pregrado, tiene relación directa con la modernidad y con la instalación de imaginarios sobre ‘investigar’ desde los discursos de las ciencias sociales. El temaproblema de la presente investigación se refiere a la existencia de dos situaciones clave: la primera describe a los estudiantes en medio de una cultura académica que se encuentra en el tránsito de universidad profesionalizante a universidad investigativa; y la segunda, desde la experiencia del Semillero de Investigación, que ubica la introducción a la investigación, en medio de una desfigurada conversión cultural dominada por la profesionalización que privilegia la transmisión más que la producción de conocimiento. El artículo que es fruto de un proceso de sistematización, señala la necesidad de construir propuestas alternas, que cuestionen desde una postura crítica, el papel que han jugado las ciencias sociales en el proceso de conversión cultural y en el establecimiento de la mirada epistémica de los estudiantes. |

The theme of this work delves on two key situations: the first describes the student in the midst of an academic culture that is moving from a professionalizing to a research institution; and the second from the experience of Semilleros de Investigación, trying to install research in the midst of a cultural conversion dominated by professionalization, therefore privileging transmission rather than creation of knowledge.
