RESUMEN: Este artículo realiza una lectura de las relaciones de poder al interior del Establecimiento Penitenciario y Carcelario de Mediana Seguridad de Medellín (Bellavista) entre el año 2014 – 2016. Partiendo de la pregunta por la configuración de relaciones de poder paralelas al poder institucional. Se sustenta en una metodología cualitativa, bajo una investigación documental con un amplio desarrollo teórico que se apoya en una serie de entrevistas semiestructuradas realizadas al personal de guardia. La investigación se justifica en tanto permite realizar un análisis a nivel general sobre el fenómeno carcelario, el cual toma como foco la población reclusa y no el individuo, lo que responde a la necesidad de comprender las dinámicas de una institución que forma parte de la sociedad, pero que tiene una perspectiva limitada y restringida de acceso. |
