RESUMEN : La megaminería es un tema que puede resultar tabú en Colombia, históricamente las personas asocian esta actividad con contaminación, corrupción y violencia, prefiriendo tener esto alejado de su territorio. Anglo Gold Ashanti por medio de Minera de Cobre Quebradona (MCQ) tiene el reto de traer a el país una minería moderna, sostenible y que demuestre que es posible realizar una explotación mineral respetando la fauna, flora y cultura del lugar. Este no será un trabajo basado en el aspecto minero, si no en cómo se desarrollan trabajos complementarios desde la ingeniería para sacar adelante las obras complementarias vitales para que el proyecto se pueda llevar a cabo, visto más desde una perspectiva gerencial y de seguimiento a expertos que del diseño o construcción de obras, es de aquí que parte el título de este trabajo como “ingeniería gerencial” ya que como practicante no era responsabilidad el realizar los diseños o las obras si no el gestionar que los contratistas expertos contaran con las herramientas, el conocimiento y los materiales para entregar a MCQ lo que se buscaba con sus servicios. Podremos encontrar en este informe trabajos de campo enfocados en topografía, especialmente en el uso de radares GPS de alta precisión necesarios para lo que un megaproyecto como este necesita para su puesta en marcha y control, no siendo responsabilidad del practicante manejar estos instrumentos, pero si el guiar a los expertos y acompañar a los demás miembros del equipo de MCQ a cumplir con los objetivos de la empresa. |

Anglo Gold Ashanti through Minera de Cobre Quebradona (MCQ) has the challenge of bringing to the country modern, sustainable mining that proves that it is possible to carry out mineral exploitation while respecting the fauna, flora, and culture of the place. This will not be a work based on the mining aspect, but on how complementary works are developed from engineering to carry out the complementary works vital so that the project can be carried out, seen more from a managerial perspective and follow-up to experts that of the design or construction of works, it´s because of that the title of this work starts as "managerial engineering" since as an intern it was not the responsibility to carry out the designs or the works but to manage that the expert contractors had the tools, the knowledge, and materials to deliver what MCQ was looking for with its services.
