It also develops the state-owned network to provide the galleys.RESUMEN: En este texto indagaré sobre las capacidades náuticas y el aparataje estatal de sustento sobre las escuadras de galeras que sirvieron en las periferias de los territorios ultramarinos castellanos: Cartagena de Indias en el Caribe y las islas Filipinas en el Pacífico. Las fechas límite comprenden los reinados de Felipe II y III: 1571, Batalla de Lepanto, punto más álgido de la guerra de galeras y 1621, fin de la tregua contra los rebeldes holandeses. Al estar enfocado sobre las galeras, navíos rápidos de cabotaje, los cruces de información y comparación tenderán más al Mare Nostrum, que al reto atlántico.
