RESUMEN : Avícola San Martín se encuentra en la búsqueda de mayor generación de impacto como empresa dentro del mercado Avícola, para tal fin actualmente se adelanta la automatización de sus procesos y teniendo en cuenta que los inventarios representan un área vital dentro de las organizaciones, dispuso de todas las herramientas humanas y tecnológicas para el desarrollo de un aplicativo que permitiera la mejora del Sistema de Gestión de Inventarios y posteriormente la adecuada toma de decisiones estratégicas por medio del análisis de la información recolectada. Durante el desarrollo e implementación del aplicativo se evidenciaron oportunidades que luego de su ejecución permitieron realizar una debida trazabilidad de los productos que ingresan diariamente al almacén. El esquema propuesto e implementado permitió la creación de la Data del inventario, identificación de la ubicación, cantidad, costo unitario, cálculo de los días de inventario, entre otras variables relevantes propias de un Sistema de Gestión de Inventarios; de igual forma la presentación de la propuesta de un nuevo Layout para el almacén que permite el aumento de capacidad de almacenamiento, todo ello se logró gracias al diagnóstico inicial que permitió identificar las falencias y oportunidades de mejora. Finalmente, el éxito de la implementación dependerá de la constancia y seguimiento realizado por parte de la dirección y la debida colaboración de todo el personal. |

Finalmente, el éxito de la implementación dependerá de la constancia y seguimiento realizado por parte de la dirección y la debida colaboración de todo el personal.ABSTRACT : Avícola San Martín is in the search for greater impact generation as a company within the poultry market, for this purpose it is currently moving forward the automation of its processes and taking into account that inventories represent a vital area within organizations, it had all the human and technological tools for the development of an application that would allow the improvement of the Inventory Management System and subsequently the appropriate strategic decision making through the analysis of the information collected. During the development and implementation of the application, opportunities were evidenced that after its execution allowed a proper traceability of the products entering the warehouse on a daily basis. The proposed and implemented scheme allowed the creation of the Inventory Data, identification of the location, quantity, unit cost, calculation of inventory days, among other relevant variables of an Inventory Management System; likewise, the presentation of the proposal of a new Layout for the warehouse that allows the increase of storage capacity. All this was achieved thanks to the initial diagnosis that allowed the identification of shortcomings and opportunities for improvement.
