RESUMEN: Para iniciar este debate en relación con algunas consideraciones éticas sobre la vulnerabilidad, primero se abordan aspectos generales sobre los principios básicos de la ética en la investigación. Existen tres principios básicos: el respecto a las personas, la beneficencia y no maleficencia y la justicia. El respeto por las personas incluye los elementos de consentimiento informado y la protección especial de las poblaciones vulnerables. La beneficencia también alude a dichas poblaciones vulnerables y a la directriz de maximizar los beneficios de los participantes y de la sociedad. Algunos autores han señalado un principio que debe vincularse al de beneficencia: la no maleficencia, lo que significa minimizar los riesgos de los sujetos del estudio. |
