RESUMEN: La presente monografía busca comprender la relación de las mujeres con la salud y la televisión mediante un acercamiento etnográfico, con el fin de identificar las mediaciones y apropiaciones que configuran la recepción en salud y su influencia en la gestión de la salud propia, familiar y colectiva. Explora las fuentes y las nociones de la salud de las interlocutoras, así como los rituales que se establece cotidianamente con la televisión, identificando las mediaciones subjetivas y socioculturales presentes en el proceso de televidencia. El estudio concluye que la recepción televisiva en salud es activa y que el proceso de apropiación de los contenidos que está determinada por diversos factores entre los cuales se destacan el género, el rol de madre y las experiencias en salud. Además se argumenta que la televisión tiene un potencial importante en la formación de salud de las audiencias. |
