Description
Summary:This work is constituted by a bibliographic compilation in the form of a monograph on the phenomenon of thermoluminescence, in which the investigations carried out by the teacher Rafael Cogollo are analyzed and broken down [1], [2], [3], [4 ] in the Physics Program of the University of C´ordoba and the text Numerical and Practical Exercises in Thermoluminescence [5]; that will serve as bibliographic support for future students who choose to do their research work on this topic. It is important to highlight that in this monograph we have improved the model of Randall J. and Wilkins M. [6], commonly known as the one-trap-one-recombination center model, which allows analyzing the first order peaks of the thermoluminescent glow curves. The improvement consists in having obtained an analytical expression to calculate the intensity of these peaks as a function of temperature and in proposing a standard methodology that allows obtaining the kinetic parameters that characterize these peaks. Another characteristic, and in our opinion the most important of this work, is the possibility that the reader has to reproduce all the curves that are used in the analysis of the peaks of first, second and general order of the thermoluminescent brightness curves presented in this monograph.
