Description
Summary:The program of antimicrobials optimization use (PROA) in the Zayma SAS clinic in Monteria - Cordoba has promoted the proper antibiotics administration, making this an operational and educational program in terms of control of organisms, and the measures to be taken in the first instance for each particular case, through active monitoring of the evolution of the patient and their needs. Teléfora, an excessive use and application of these drugs should not be carried out, because the arbitrary supply of antibiotics to the patient generates a negative response in the organism, obtaining unfavorable results. This program was implemented, taking into account the lack of infection prevention and control programs in the clinic, which makes difficult the follow-up of antibiotic therapy. Likewise, it was considered necessary to standardize according to the internal accreditation systems, giving guidelines to doctors, nurses, regents and patients in the clinic. The above, with the aim of improving the clinical outcomes of patients with infections, minimizing the adverse effects associated with their use and exposing the incidents that may occur during the administration, lifespan, and misuse of antibiotics.
