Sistema de monitoreo de ritmo cardíaco, utilizando la tecnología IoT (Internet of things)

The purpose of this investigation was the implementation of a heart monitoring system that sends messages of alert by notifications to contacts in case of a heart anomaly through a mobile app, redacting an algorithm to accurate estimate heart rate to any people of a broad average of ages. It also allows people who are part of the health system to use the app to monitor patients who have heart difficulties. There were carried out measurements to people with some diseases like obesity and high blood pressure and also physicaly active and sedentary people. The results make possible a detailed elaboration of an algorithm that could work properly in most smartphones, this algorithm will estimate the heart rate of a person, no matter age or physical condition. It allows to know some people's perception and aptitude towards available technological tools, like smartphones, to monitor vital signs and health care. It was also possible to set the basis for future investigations focused on the use of smartphones for health and personal care.
