| Summary: | Was carried out the establishment and oversight of a pre-nursery and oil palm nursery using the genetic material DxP Dami las flores in the Municipality of María La Baja, Bolivar. The pre-nursery and nursery belong to the Grupo Empresarial Oleoflores and is located at the geographic coordinates of 9° 55' 16.1" north latitude and 75° 19' 48.5" west longitude. 556.8 m2 of pre-nursery and 4 hectares of nursery garden were established with capacity for 50,112 plants and 45,000 plants, respectively. The nursery was established with the plants that were in the pre-nursery that had the company last season, from here the best palms with desirable agronomic characteristics were selected and the nursery was organized. On the other hand, when removing the palms of the pre-nursery the area where the new seedlings were established with beds 15 meters long by 1 meter wide and leaving 0.6 meters between each bed, in total 23.2 beds were placed in the prenursery. The purpose of the company in establishing the pre-nursery and nursery is to be able to meet the demand of strategic alliances between peasant companies and the government in Repelon Antioquia, as well as the ASOPALMA 2 alliance in the municipality of María La Baja and the marketing of palms to independent palm growers. |
