Description
Summary:The main objective of this research was to evaluate the state of water regulation in the main micro-basins of the Nudo del Paramillo with influence in the department of Córdoba. For this, a slight morphometric characterization of each of the micro-basins was necessary based on their radiometry and After this, through the use of geographic information systems, satellite images and hydrometeorological information, the curve number methodology was developed to analyze the behavior of runoff in the study area and finally possible signs of global warming at a local scale were studied. from the statistical analysis of previously mentioned hydrometeorological information. The results obtained showed that although in the area there is evidence of economic activities that produce soil degradation, there is no greater affectation at the climatic level. Some climatic variables in the study area, such as temperature, have had an increasing trend over the last 34 years and this behavior is an indicator of possible signs of global warming at a local scale. On the other hand, although evidence of a decrease in forest vegetation cover was found, mainly due to human intervention, the current state of vegetation cover, although degraded, continues to act as a water and thermal regulator and has minimized the impacts on variables such as evapotranspiration. potential that could generate warming scenarios.
