Summary: | The success of the banana export process is linked to other processes such as the harvest and post-harvest of this product, guaranteeing a high quality according to the demands of the markets worldwide to be more competitive; In addition, other sub-processes are highlighted, which are the latest filters that demand high quality standards such as bunch cutting, fruit measurement in baskets, dismantling, selection, classification, sealing, fruit weight, packaging and palletizing. The objective of the business practice was to obtain and generate greater knowledge related to the monitoring of the harvest and post-harvest of bananas (Musa AAA) export type, in the area of Urabá - Antioquía, with the company GRUPO CENTRAL S.A.S. During the practice, activities were carried out where the harvest and postharvest processes were evaluated, finding the different defects presented in the banana fingers, and evaluating the different operational behaviors within the packing process. Within the results it was found that in the company's farms it was common to find damage to the fruit during and after being harvested, presenting defects such as finger friction, split peel, colaspis, distemper, damage by flora, harvest latex, mistreatment, broken neck, damage by input, field latex, packaging damage, cut by gourbia, etc. On the other hand, it was found that the workers and/or operators of the farms use the necessary tools to carry out the cultivation tasks most of the time. |
