La excepcional plasticidad genómica de estos microorganismos, proporciona a la comunidad científica el potencial para futuros estudios relacionados con bioprospecciónAntarctica, white continent of the southern hemisphere, has 14 million km2, is the reserve of fresh water, most abundant, world and equilibrium point of ecosystems, has extreme climatic factors for life which makes it an open field for Scientific research. In this continent, the soils have great bacterial diversity, with little identification; With regard to the diversity of microorganisms from the island of Livingston and Deception in Antarctica. The identification of prokaryotic organisms is carried out by means of traditional microbiology and sequencing of the PCR amplification product of the 16S rRNA region. We isolated 20 bacterial microorganisms from these islands, of which four Bacterial genera were identified by conventional microbiology: Salmonella sp., Burkholderia sp., Bacillus sp. and Acinetobacter sp. And a microorganism of fungal origin belonging to the genus Penicillium sp. The sequences were edited with the Chromas program (2.6.5) and compared with the GenBank through the BLASTn algorithm. Seventeen microorganisms were identified from the total of the isolates, belonging to 11 bacterial genera distributed in the two islands; 8 genera corresponding to Deception Island: Staphylococcus, Oceanisphera, Paeniglutamicibacter, Microbacterium, Sporosarcina and 6 genera to Livingston Island: Burkholderia, Bacillus, and Acinetobacter, and the genera of it coincide. The exceptional genomic plasticity of these microorganisms, the results of scientific research and the potential for future studies related to bioprospecting.ÍNDICE DE FIGURAS 10 ÍNDICE DE TABLAS 12 RESUMEN 13 INTRODUCCIÓN 17 OBJETIVO GENERAL 18 OBJETIVOS ESPECÍFICOS 18 ANTECEDENTES 19 2.
