En el plasma de sangre de cordón umbilical (PSCU) se encuentran proteínas relacionadas con la angiogénesis, quimiocinas, factores de crecimiento y moléculas relacionadas con la matriz extracelular entre otras, dentro de las proteínas con mayor concentración están la proteína inhibidora de las metaloproteinasas (TIMP-2) y la glicoproteína 130 soluble (sgp130), las cuales están asociadas a neurogénesis y revitalización del hipocampo en ratones viejos. Este trabajo tiene como objetivo determinar las concentraciones de las proteínas neuromoduladoras TIMP-2 y sgp130 presentes en PSCU. Fue aprobado por el comité de Ética en Investigación del Hospital Militar Central y realizado en los laboratorios de STEM Medicina Regenerativa, previa firma del consentimiento informado de las maternas se obtuvo y procesó el PSCU de 121 neonatos para la cuantificación de TIMP-2 y sgp130 mediante la técnica ELISA. El valor promedio de TIMP-2 fue de 100,1 pg/ml (rango de 1,9 a 485,7 pg/ml) con (SD) de 105,4, el valor promedio de sgp130 fue de 641,1 pg/ml (rango de 0 a 1595, 7 pg/ml) con una (SD) de 295. No existió correlación del valor de las proteínas con peso, talla, células nucleadas totales (CN), recuento de CD34+ y semanas de gestación. Este trabajo apropia conocimiento de los valores de TIMP2 y sgp30 en PSCU, los cuales deben ser considerados para estudios de medicina traslacional.

En el plasma de sangre de cordón umbilical (PSCU) se encuentran proteínas relacionadas con la angiogénesis, quimiocinas, factores de crecimiento y moléculas relacionadas con la matriz extracelular entre otras, dentro de las proteínas con mayor concentración están la proteína inhibidora de las metaloproteinasas (TIMP-2) y la glicoproteína 130 soluble (sgp130), las cuales están asociadas a neurogénesis y revitalización del hipocampo en ratones viejos. Este trabajo tiene como objetivo determinar las concentraciones de las proteínas neuromoduladoras TIMP-2 y sgp130 presentes en PSCU. Fue aprobado por el comité de Ética en Investigación del Hospital Militar Central y realizado en los laboratorios de STEM Medicina Regenerativa, previa firma del consentimiento informado de las maternas se obtuvo y procesó el PSCU de 121 neonatos para la cuantificación de TIMP-2 y sgp130 mediante la técnica ELISA. El valor promedio de TIMP-2 fue de 100,1 pg/ml (rango de 1,9 a 485,7 pg/ml) con (SD) de 105,4, el valor promedio de sgp130 fue de 641,1 pg/ml (rango de 0 a 1595, 7 pg/ml) con una (SD) de 295. No existió correlación del valor de las proteínas con peso, talla, células nucleadas totales (CN), recuento de CD34+ y semanas de gestación. Este trabajo apropia conocimiento de los valores de TIMP2 y sgp30 en PSCU, los cuales deben ser considerados para estudios de medicina traslacional.RESUMEN 1. INTRODUCCIÓN 16 2.
